HANGOVER IN MINSK

Hangover in Minsk is an atmospheric music project created by members of the Belarusian Depressive Doom / Post-Black Metal band Dymna Lotva. The project embodies a dark, emotionally charged sound where the weight of post-metal intertwines with melancholic melody and a deeply introspective mood.
▸Hangover in Minsk was born as a “hangover side-effect” on the way back from the Dark Easter Metal Meeting 2024 festival. It all began with jokes about “depressive beer metal” during a 12-hour drive from Munich to Warsaw. Unable to agree on what to listen to in such a condition, the musicians of Dymna Lotva decided to create the music themselves.
▸ The project continues the tradition of Dymna Lotva, offering listeners a bleak yet aesthetically refined sonic journey where raw emotion merges with a powerful and detailed musical language.
The band’s debut album “Party Is Over” features guest vocals by Déhá and Kim Carlsson.
