HUSKVARN
HUSKVARN (Thrash/Death Metal, Latvija) — pioneers of the Latvian heavy scene.
Formed in 1989 in Jelgava, Huskvarn are among the early representatives of thrash/death metal in Latvia. Since their beginnings, the band has had a significant impact on the local alternative and underground music scene.
Their signature sound combines raw energy, harsh tones and strong expressive intensity, establishing them as a key figure in Latvia’s heavy music landscape.
Throughout their history, the band has gone through several major breaks, until in 2015 HUSKVARN reunited for their 25th anniversary and farewell tour “End of the Road”, concluding it with a final concert on March 13, 2015, in Riga at the club “Melnā Piektdiena”.
After a long period of silence, HUSKVARN returned to the stage in 2024, marking a new chapter in the band’s activity.
With a strong reputation as a live act, HUSKVARN remain one of the cornerstones of Latvian heavy music. Back in the day, they introduced metal to a new generation of listeners and musicians.
At Zobens un Lemess, the band will perform for the first time.
For some, it will be a long-awaited reunion with HUSKVARN.
