KHEPRA

KHEPRA is a symphonic death metal band from Turkiye, known for combining brutal extreme metal with cinematic orchestration and dark ritualistic atmospheres. Drawing influences from both classical symphonic writing and Anatolian musical traditions, the band delivers an intense and immersive live experience.

Merging the brutality of death metal with the aesthetics of Anatolian folk motifs and adding countless layers of orchestration, KHEPRA creates a distinctive form of extreme metal by synthesizing eastern and western hymns and pushing the limits of intensity and expression. This has defined KHEPRA as a Symphonic/Atmospheric Death Metal band since its formation in 2014 (known as Gürz until 2014).

The band’s debut album Cosmology Divine was released at the end of 2016 via Naturmacht Records (Germany) and was critically acclaimed by many reviewers as one of the strongest debut releases of that year. The album was mixed and mastered in Los Angeles by Logan Mader (ex-Machine Head, ex-Soulfly), one of the most respected producers in the metal genre, known for his work with bands such as Gojira, Septicflesh, W.A.S.P., Limp Bizkit, Fear Factory, Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy, Devildriver, Five Finger Death Punch, and many others.

Since its formation, KHEPRA has performed at major European festivals including Kilkim Žaibu, Metal Heads Mission, Tbilisi Open Air, PlusOne Festival, RockOff Festival, and Bosphorus Metal Festival, touring countries such as Ukraine, Hungary, Georgia, Belgium, and Lithuania. The band has also shared stages with renowned acts like Nile, Gorguts, Vader, Opeth, Abbath, Decapitated, Mayhem, Archgoat, Mgła, Manegarm, Eluveitie, Kalmah, Harakiri for the Sky, Naglfar, Skyforger, Ensiferum, and others.

The band’s second full-length album, Anatomy of Sin, is scheduled for release on December 12, 2025, via Theogonia Records (Poland). This time, production duties are handled by Psychon (Dinos Prassas) of Septicflesh. As part of the album promotion, KHEPRA will release two official music videos and return to international stages with a powerful and carefully crafted live performance aimed at both audiences and organizers.

For listeners seeking a performance that resonates with the grandeur and intensity of bands such as Septicflesh, Dimmu Borgir, and Fleshgod Apocalypse, supported by a memorable and high-quality live show, KHEPRA delivers a balanced and impactful experience in every aspect.
